What is a solo coffee date
By now, you know I love a solo coffee date. It’s an opportunity to decompress, plan my week, write my goals, and write.
It’s an opportunity to dress nicely, have a bit of solitude, and complete tasks.
Oh, and how can I forget – enjoy great coffee.
My current coffee house obsession
Right now, I am stuck on Desert Oasis, which is a local chain in Michigan. They have one in Detroit, Ferndale, and Royal Oak.
I love that all of their locations are spread out. I can visit them during work or when I need to run errands in Oakland County.
What am I ordering
A honey and cinnamon iced latte with whole milk.
It’s my go-to drink. It’s not overly sweet, and it adds fuel.

How to have impactful solo coffee dates
Try new drinks, new locations, and don’t be afraid to explore the shop.
When I visit Desert Oasis’s Downtown Detroit location, I make sure to check the posters and flyers on the wall to see what’s trending in the city.
Or I play around with the in-store gadgets.
I bought a $1 art print of a Ghostbusters character from the mini vending machine in the cafe.
Wear something jazzy
I love wearing a chic outfit to the coffee shop; not only does it make me feel good, but it calls for a selfie.
Or a fit pic while enjoying my latte.
It’s a way to embrace the simple efforts.
