It’s a sweet summer!
Blake’s Strawberry Festival was everything.
Let’s Get Into It
What is Blake’s Strawberry Fest

A two-day event in Armada, Michigan that celebrates everything strawberries! Donuts, jams, drinks, slushies, and that’s just a bit of the yummy goods.
It’s truly an experience you have to try for yourself!
Foodie tales
After our hour long drive, food was the first destination.
Well the bathroom but I needed something to eat.
I settled for a hot dog because I knew I was going out to eat later in the day.
Blake’s has a variety of food halls where you can dine in, or grab a quick snack. In addition to their general store that sells exclusive made in house products like baked goods, popcorn, jams, and dressings.
Your typical farmer’s market finds!
Hard cider hottie
One time in college I tried a hard cider from Blake’s and it was quite tasty.
Well, today I was reminded how good it tastes.
I sampled their Strawberry Zen hard cider with a hint of cucumber and it was pretty yummy!
My aunt tried their strawberry vodka lemonade slushie and she enjoyed it as well!
The cider mill also had wines in flavors of cranberry, apple and strawberry. While also having non alcoholic drinks like apple cider slushies, gourmet drinks full of sprinkles, donuts and whipped cream. A full blown sugar mission.

The DONUTS

This was definitely a foodie tale!
I got a dozen of strawberry donuts where some were covered in sugar (I know, my sweet tooth was calling) while the rest were just plain.
They were so warm, soft and the perfect dessert!
The other attractions

Besides from having an opportunity to pick strawberries and enjoy a few great meals. I felt that it was hard to find something for adults to do. Maybe another attraction that’s not kiddie based? But then it’s like well it is a cider mill… go pick strawberries, eat an apple and drink a bit of cider.
I wish I could’ve stayed for the live music and fireworks! That would’ve been nice to see.
There’s a space for families to pet animals, do activities and play as well.
My overall thoughts

I loved it!
For context, I hadn’t been since I was in Kindergarten and this trip was truly impactful to me.
I wanted to go last year but didn’t have the opportunity.
This year I am just glad I was able to spend it with my loved ones and create a very fun memory that will become a great tradition.
