Tubi films and series that intrigued me.
I watched many movies for March and completed a few action-packed series. This month, I focused on a lot of Black cinema, documentaries and mystery shows.
Here are five shows and movies I watched in March 2024:
Netflix Series
Fool Me Once
Summary: A woman grieves the death of her sister and husband while trying to solve the mystery of what the deaths were connected to.
My thoughts: The series started quite intriguing but the story started to drag until the last episodes. It’s a mystery series and has a lot of plot twists.
Rating: 7/10
Summary: Follows stories of former individuals involved in a spiritual organization created by a couple that seeks to help people find their true love. The individuals in the documentary express their discomforts during their membership and tell stories of what the couple made them do.
My thoughts: The documentary was very shocking and had a lot of, “OMG” moments.
Rating: 7/10

Tubi Movies
Street Code Broken
Summary: Follows the story of two best friends in the drug game struggling with everyday life, love, family and growth. When one friend decides they want better for themselves, it turns into a battle of loyalty and defeat.
My thoughts: This story was one of the better Tubi movies I’ve seen because the story was not rushed, and touched on my emotions.
Rating: 9/10
Summary: A young girl loses her parents to death and a mental hospital and has to figure out a way to survive for her little brother and herself. She finds herself in a sticky situation once she decides to turn to the adult entertainment life that almost costs her life.
My thoughts: This movie featured quality Detroit actors and actresses who told a story that’s realistic and has an interesting plot twist.
Rating: 8/10
The Stepdaughter
Summary: A girl shows up at the front doorstep of her father’s door where he resides with his new family. The story follows her starting to torment his family and cause chaos but her alternative motives are not as random as they seen.
My thoughts: At first, I thought this movie was going to remind me of the The Stepmother series but it had a different twist to the plot. I liked the ending and hope they make a sequel.
Rating: 7/10
