Spring means more outdoor hobbies.
Having hobbies is a great way to stay active, get creative and break away from the world’s pressures. I typically like hobbies where I can create something new or learn another skill.
Here are five hobbies to try in April 2024:
Start scrapbooking
Since summer is approaching, you could buy crafting supplies to create a scrapbook to save memories of your scrapbook.
What you need to start a scrapbook:
- Scrapbook
- Stickers
- Scissors
- Glue
- Photos
- Scrapbook paper
Complete puzzles
If you want to stay indoors due to those April showers, pick up on completing puzzles. You can start small and then advance as you go.
Where to buy puzzles:
- Dollar stores
- Craft stores: Michael’s, Hobby Lobby
- Target
Start nature walks
If your town is getting good weather, pick up on nature walks. Find a local park that offers a trail and get to walking. Nature walks are good to get outside and get some fresh air.

Thrift your summer wardrobe
If you want to get into thrift shopping, a cool idea is to start shopping for a summer wardrobe. You can find tank tops, dresses, mini skirts and more at the thrift.
Check out my recent best finds at the thrift shop.
Start jewelry making
If you are looking for a more creative hobby, start making jewelry. You can start with bracelets, earings and then necklaces.
Craft stores like Michaels, Joann Fabrics, and Hobby Lobby offer jewelry kits.
