Celebrating our birthday month with a challenge exclusively for our blogger friends.
Let’s Get Into It
We’re creating each week
For June, aka my BIRTHDAY MONTH! I challenge all of my blogger friends and readers to create every week!
Art projects, songs, poems, a new dish, or maybe a DIY project, create SOMETHING.
How do you start
Ideas, duh! Make a list of what you don’t see and what you would desire to see. It could be a new painting in your living space, or a flower vase for outdoors, or maybe the world needs a new cool invention.
Write a love letter about what you love and need more of. Inspire you using your own mind.
Or just read my latest blog post on being a creator for guidance.
Setting goals
You don’t have to. It could be fun to have a goal post to complete besides the actual completed projects.
However, if setting goals isn’t your thing, then don’t.
I set goals when I am creating to stay motivated.
Setting goals throughout the week can make this even more rewarding, as you can treat it as a form of self-discipline.
Creating a routine for longevity.

What is Chan herself creating
Let it be a surprise!
Don’t tell anyone, do it for you.
Have fun while doing it, that’s how you know you’re creating art that’s fun, intentional, and of course groovy!
You really thought I would spill alllllll the beans? NO!
How to stay motivated
Create what you like, but if you don’t like it, stop.
I think that’s one of the biggest steps in creating, is knowing what’s for you and what’s not. That’s why this challenge is needed. If you find yourself falling out of love with sketchbooks and paintbrushes, maybe give it a break.
Doesn’t mean you hate it, pivot.
Try something new, maybe digital art or create using pencils instead.
Find your way back to the craft
No matter what it is, try the adjacent one, the new thing, and add to it using your foundation. A perfect key is finding your way back to your craft.
For instance, if you like creating clothes but are tired of sewing, maybe try sketching. Immerse yourself in the scene, cover a fashion show, and journal about it!
Sometimes you have to experience what you love in another capacity to build on what you already enjoy about it, so you can create your own ideas, thoughts, and projects that reflect your authenticity.
Don’t be afraid to start slowly
You don’t have to complete seven projects a week, or even four. You may only jot down ideas, and that’s fine.
Create your own flow.
Let’s Talk About It
Are you going to try the challenge?
