Okay, so you’re single on Valentine’s Day? Me too!
Oh boo, hoo! You’re not the only one! Let’s start there.
This is going to be my third year single on Valentine’s Day, post my last crappy relationship and I have taught myself how to celebrate the day as a single girly.
Here is all you need to know:
Get cute

Even if you’re going to work, school, the mall, or the coffee shop at least dress to impress that day.
Bring out the pinks, and the reds, you even have an excuse to wear white in the middle of winter!
Wear something that makes you feel empowered, sexy and ready to take on the day.
Plus you never know! You may find your future V-Day boo at Kroger… haha.
Buy yourself something nice

Whether it’s a drink at the coffee shop or a new pair of platforms, take the time to spoil yourself.
Buy yourself flowers to remind yourself that you don’t need somebody else to do it for you. You can do it yourself!
I plan on buying me a box of my favorite candy!
Spend time with family and friends
Alright, so my close friends are not single, I don’t have this option but my mom is!
I typically buy a heart-shaped pizza for us and spend the evening stuffing my face and drinking red wine.
Spending time with family and friends during the love day is a great way to spend time with people who are close to you and may also feel alone on that day.
Buy some yummy foods, play games or even watch a romance film!

Plan a solo date

Find a good-looking outfit, a place you want to try and treat yourself!
There is nothing wrong with going on a solo date to enjoy your own company.
Take care of yourself!
Stay positive
Having a positive attitude during Valentine’s Day is a great way to get through the day. If you negatively think of the day it’s going to feel crappy.
Take care of yourself, change the narrative and create traditions that allow you to celebrate the day in peace.
