Book cafès are popping up around metro Detroit.
Gross Pointe Farms just got a little bit cooler with their latest cafè. It’s a bookstore that features a variety of books, food and goods for an intimate reading experience.
What to know
Fly Leaf is a cafè, bar bookstore that serves food and drinks.
The cafè is fairly new to the metro Detroit area and it’s a book lover’s dream. You can shop for books and read them while you enjoy wine, coffee, or avocado toast.
The aesthetics
Think vintage book collection with posh artwork, antique-style decoration and high shelves filled with books from romance to thriller. If you’re into cozy fireplaces and intimate book nooks, Flyleaf is for you.
It provides two floors of book shopping; the first floor is dedicated to nonfiction, while the second floor is for fiction.
There are open spaces to conversate, read or catch up on work. During the warmer months, the cafe also offers a patio space for book readers who enjoy the fresh summer air while reading.
If you’re seeking a space that’s a little more intimate, a private sitting room is available to rent.
The shop also includes wines to buy, chocolates and more for customers to indulge in.
Did I mention they have the cutest bathroom decor?
Menu
There is a bar if you want to enjoy an evening of wine or order cafe drinks like lattes, coffees and soda.
The food menu includes toast, truffle fries, cheeseboards and other small dishes.
If you want dessert, Flyleaf serves pastries like croissants and muffins.
