Tips on creating a vision board

Vision boards are a great way to plan out your future goals.

Vision boards are the perfect opportunity to express all your wants and desires.

The best part is there is not a specific way to create one. You can make one out of magazines, newspaper, digitally and more.

Today we are going to be going to make a vision board using poster boards.

Step 1 – Gather Supplies

1. Magazines

2. Pictures

3. Paper

4. Poster board

5. Glue

6. Scissors

It should not be hard to find supplies. All of my supplies besides the magazines and scissors came from Dollar Tree. The average cost was $3 for the two different kind of poster boards and glue sticks.

A new trend that I see a lot is creating a digital vision board. In my next blog post, we will get into that.

Step 2 – Find inspiration

You can look online for other vision boards or you can just start looking in the magazine.

Step 3 – Start cutting

Look for big bold word, outfit inspirations dream cars or just about anything you would consider as goal.

I also like to include affirmations to remind myself to keep going.

Step 4 – Start adhering pieces

Glue your pieces on as a collage or just on the poster board. I also added written goals before I glued my pictures. Just a way to write out all my goals and things I want.

Step 5- Completion

It only takes a little bit of time and it doesn’t require too many supplies. All it really requires is your effort to think about your goals actively.

Vision boards are not just pictures on a piece of a paper though. They should serve as a reminder of the goals and things you want and need to accomplish. It’s only up to you to put the effort in completing the goals.
