So, you need a hobby to obsess over this August?
August: summer is creeping out. Fall is creeping in. It’s a great opportunity to start some new hobbies, so when you’re cozy with your cider and donuts, you have an activity.
Let’s get into it
Junk journaling
Girl, we’ve been junk journaling all summer! Well, start printing out photos and sourcing your memories to create spreads that represent the season!
The twist is going to a cafe or by the water, with your supplies.
You know, I got you covered anyway. Read the junk journal guide.
Upcycle projects
Find something to decorate, take apart, and upgrade it.
You can paint your dresser or give a lamp a chic makeover.
Make a cool recipe
It’s definitely the perfect season to make something on the BBQ grill.
Maybe try steak, lobster tail, or a pizza! The possibilities are endless.

Decorating craft pouches
I brought a clear “pencil” pouch from Dollar Tree a few weeks ago for $3. The same pouch is available at Five Below and has a variety of colors.
Add gems and stickers to a clear pouch to carry your craft supplies! It’s a simple craft to get back into adding your own touch to things.
I made one for my journaling clutter, and I truly love it. I can pop up anywhere with it and keep my supplies together.
Plan a craft picnic
Snacks, drinks, blankets, and activities.
You can buy DIY kits for bracelets, puzzle building, or painting on canvas at your local craft store if you need help picking.
The goal is to bring a friend or go solo. Just remember to have a lot of fun!
