What in the 20-somethings?
Now, I don’t like that song.
My music taste is changing. Just yesterday, we were totally listening to that.
Don’t be late
“It’s true that song never defines me,”
Who am I?
To separate myself from music, I once loved…
My music taste is changing.
Which is unique, which is graceful, it’s intriguing, but also scary.
I’ve always been a music girly
I’m more of a music girly than a foodie. A good playlist or album drive will always serve me justice.
This is the first time I’ve done a scrub on my playlist. Did I grow up or grow out of loving the songs that carried me through high school?
And, let’s be clear. This isn’t a “i aM sO mATuRE nOw” rant.
It’s another realization that those dang 20-somethings…
Strip you, rebuild you, give you power, recreate you, shake you, but build you right on up?
If you dare to make the change.

Because we’re no longer city girls
It was a fun era that lasted since I was in college. That style of living is dead.
Am I going to become a stickler?
Or am I just maturing because a wife can’t be…
Balance is key…
It began with my clothing; now my music is changing.
Is that the “grown” aspect?
I am grown, and that’s the thing.
I don’t have to clutter my mind with the concept of what I think being grown is, and I can just be grown by being mindful of what I consume.
Am I becoming too grown?
Is that why my circle changed?
Even down to who I break bread with on a daily.
Am I becoming too grown?
I gotta take a chance
I gotta try this “grown” stuff out. And no, I don’t mean grown as in being sexy, or adding figures to my list of boyfriends for societal rules. No, I gotta start showing up better for me.
If no longer wearing those clothes, listening to that music, or wearing those shoes while dancing to those songs is a key to my solution, then I take on the challenge.
What do I have to lose if I get a clearer mind? A less gritty walk, slipping and sliding.
Moving with ease, we’re in control of our lane and know what direction we are heading.
We’re progressing.
Stop the stressin
Don’t give ear to sounds that aren’t even true. Tune it out, and you shall find a clue.
There’s always time for rediscovery.
That’s how you know. Sometimes a break is needed.
Relearn to enjoy and reminisce on something that made you feel warm, giggly or sweet. Of course, it was good for you.
Let’s Talk About It
Are we deleting playlists and music from 10th grade?
