Ooh, that sounds kinda…
What’s the word?
Enticing.
Let’s Get Into It
The season of love
See, most would agree that the “real love season” starts in the fall because you can cuddle up, drink hot cocoa, and wear pajamas.
Very cute, very niche.
What about that summer air, that’s warm, daring, and screams, “Let’s explore outside together.”
What if we build up to the “matching pajama” era with more intimate settings and the smell of fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies? With a vanilla candle burning in the background on the mantle.
Spring is the season of love.
It’s true
Outdoor dates to the latest restaurants with patios and balcony views, long walks along the river, picnics before sunset, and drinking Sanpellegrino.
Late nights under the stars listening to music, in the remnants of the smells of barbecue.
You telling me you wouldn’t want to do that with a boo?
Spring and summer are the seasons of love
It’s the simple moments of being outdoors that create priceless memories.
Watching ball games at the stadium, eating nachos, and sipping on a cold drink. Fanning yourself with one of those paper fans or the $5 electric one.
A Friday night baseball game doesn’t sound too bad.
Or the afternoon ice cream shop dives, and then a walk around the city. Something to break the ice. Enjoy our time as one.
We’re not just in the house
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be in the house but get outside.
“I’ve spent all winter inside, starring at the walls eating $2 cheese from Aldi and drinking $10 bottles of wine. It’s okay to get out a bit and order a side of fries.” – C.Alilijah
You don’t have to be “outside” at the club or bar; you can go for a stroll, head to the mall, the museum, or even to a social event.
The goal is to get out of the house and take a deep breath of fresh air.
A sexy date night outfit is calling your name
This wouldn’t be a Chandra Alilijah blog post if I didn’t tell you that a date night is calling your name.
I know you have an outfit in your closet, daring to be worn. Something screaming, “This is the one! This is it.”
Wear that dress.
Paired with a patent leather skinny heel, or a pair of sandals that show your fresh pedicure.
Sure, wear it for yourself or out to dinner, but I bet you want to wear it on a date… it gives date night.
Go on that date.
Alright, so what’s next
According to this plan, we got the boost and reason the warmer seasons are the perfect time to fall in love, we have a few outdoor date ideas, and know to wear our sexy dress this spring.
Now, do we wait for love to come knocking at our door, behind the sales rack, or do we just let it find us?
So, many great questions and concerns, but I would not be being honest if I said I had an answer.
Opinion, yes, but a solid claim? Not yet.
All I can say is let God do his thing, and maybe you will find yourself planning a spring activity in an appropriate outfit after all.
Be open to possibilities, love truly reaches you in the most convenient, honest, and “I knew it” kinda way.
Oh, wait, I forgot
“How do you stimulate someone’s mind?”
No, just don’t grab my forehead and run your fingers along it.
Talk to me.
Guide me.
Teach me something new.
Show me how you do.
Teach me something new.
Let’s learn something new.
Show me why you do you.
Take me on a timeline.
Profess to me why it’s you.
Let me get to know ya.
With love,
C.Alilijah
