What is authenticity to you
In my opinion, it’s the you who doesn’t care. She’s funny, fly, chic, and an all-around diva.
She’s someone who’s not afraid to just be herself and embraces it with ease.
Everyone can have their definition of what authenticity means to them, but know it truly begins when you create your own definition regarding yourself.
How do you embrace your authenticity
You embrace your authenticity when you decide who you are and what you’re not.
It took years for me to come back center. Relearn Chandra and say, “That’s not even you”.
Sometimes, different life settings will change us. We go to college, meet new people, and start doing things we were never into. Then we grow older and realize, “that person I was becoming was never me anyway.”
You soul-search, relearn your foundation, and adapt.
For me, it began with arts and crafts. I was always that type of girl who did DIY projects. Finally, in 2025, I began to do more. I found myself falling in love with the things that once made me happy behind closed doors. The activities that were cool to me.
When you start doing the things you love and not seek validation from others for doing them, that’s when you know.
You know you are doing them because it brings you joy, not just for other’s approval.
I embrace my authenticity in other ways, too. By my hair, I love my natural curls, my body, my fashion, and even how I conduct my business. It’s all a working process, but it’s a beautiful one because it’s true to me.

Why does it matter
Being authentic matters because we have enough fakes. We have enough people in the world who are pretending to be someone else, pretending to live lives that aren’t theirs, and just not being real.
They have masks on.
Why wear a veil when you can wear a colorful beret paired with a brooch and a pair of groovy platforms?
Authenticity is a love letter to yourself first. It’s a point that says, “I love me, I love the qualities that make me.”
Let me allow myself to show up as that person in every room, space, and embrace myself as such.
Your authenticity can start with style
Are you rocking your personal style? The fabrics that intrigue you, the prints that draw you in. Personal style is a good way to tap into your authenticity because you’re wearing what you enjoy, like, and representing your personality and who you are.
