It’s true, I thought barrel-leg jeans were my denim of the season, but after this experience…
I don’t know!
Let’s Get Into It
The style
Barrel-leg jeans are supposed to fit at the waist and curve at the bottom.
Meaning they’re supposed to look like a barrel.
It’s a stylish, chic look that challenges the typical mom jean or skinny fit.
Where did I buy
As a disclaimer, I work at H&M.
So, I got my jeans from there.
When I tried them on in the fitting room, they fit. Mind you, I tried them on like 2 times EACH.
For some odd reason, when I got home, the jeans fit HUGE.
It felt like I lost weight or the jeans literally just didn’t fit.
Maybe I needed a belt.
I am still debating whether to take my other few pairs back and exchange them for another size, but for now I am going to tell you about this black pair.

How did I style
I styled these black-washed barrel-leg jeans with a classic black-and-white raglan baseball tee and white block heels.
It’s a chic look that’s simple but also very modern.
I only wore it shopping and to business class, but the look made me feel elevated.
My black washed barrel-leg jeans in a size 6 don’t fit around my waist; I used a belt.
When styling barrel-leg jeans, it’s best to have a small top since the bottoms are doing all the talking.
Will buy from another store
It’s best to try different denim styles at different stores because not every company makes its pants the same.
H&M is a Swedish company, meaning their sizing is quite European.
I plan on trying different brands of barrel jeans for a better review.
