The highly anticipated fashion show is back for another year.
Michigan Fashion Week kicks off for the 12th time with new designers, models and style. For the first time, MFW is hosting its annual show at the latest stylish hotel – The Godfrey Detroit in Corktown.
What to know about Michigan Fashion Week:
Michigan Fashion Week was founded in 2012 by Loren Hicks, a fashion designer who owns a brand called LOJO. Hicks is also an image consultant with a passion for fashion.
MFW also has a team of directors, producers and specialists, that helps the organization stride.
The show amplifies the fashion scene in Michigan by connecting designers, stylists, models, influencers with other fashion enthusiasts.
It’s four shows in two days with over 25 designers .
Events for Michigan Fashion Week
Wednesday, June 5: Press review and networking at The Godfrey Detroit IO Rooftop from 7 to 9 p.m.
The Godfrey Detroit: 1401 Michigan Ave., Detroit, Mi
Thursday, June 6: Fashion and shopping at Marc Jacobs in Somerset Collection from 6 to 8 p.m.
Somerset Collection : 2800 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy , Mi
Friday, June 7: Streetwear showcases at the Godfrey Hotel IO Rooftop at 5 and 7 p.m.
Saturday, June 8: High fashion showcases at The Godfrey Detroit IO Rooftop at 3 and 6 p.m.
Later on that night there will also be an after glow and networking event on the rooftop starting at 8 p.m.
How to attend MFW
Wednesday and Thursday events are free to the public.
Friday and Saturday tickets are available on the MFW website.
