Hot cocoa is a Christmas staple. The variety of what you can add from hazelnut to candy canes. It’s never a year I don’t get festive with my hot cocoa.
A hot trend now is hot cocoa bars or spaces in your kitchen where you have hot cocoa, chocolates, festive mugs and more waiting to be served.
It’s the cutest thing and I am going to show you how to achieve one that’s not only budget friendly but small enough for any home.
Here is your guide on creating a hot cocoa bar:
Find a space

I use my dining room table as my hot cocoa bar space. I don’t have much room to put it anywhere else or have a actual bar stand so I use a tray from Target to put everything on.
Some people use their kitchen counter or drawers. Some go all out and use their bar carts. It’s really more so about how big or small you want your hot cocoa bar to be.
Buy hot cocoa

I use that good ole Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa mix that you can find just about anywhere.
Some other cocoas :
- Ghirardelli Hot Chocolate
- Starbucks Hot Cocoa Powder
Buy Toppings

I typically add a couple toppings to my hot cocoa because I think it makes it taste better. My additives are the following:
- Candy canes
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate syrup
- Sprinkles
- Chocolate chips
- Chocolate candy bars
- Hazelnut
Have festive mugs

You don’t NEED a festive mug but having one shall do. It makes the bar look cute. I got my doggy shaped one from Target for about $5.
Freestyle the hot cocoa bar
You can do literally whatever you want with the hot cocoa bar. It can be small, big , or just a one day thing.
Don’t over stress it.
