Be your own muse, the world needs it.

No one is copying you.

If you switch your perspective as a creator, I promise you will enjoy the process more.

Let’s Get Into It

The why behind your creation

As someone who considers themselves a creator, I know that I am creating for a purpose. I know the effort, the time, the consideration, and even the thought behind my why.

No one can take my ideas and make them their own because they’re mine, they hold my sentiments, and they will never match the original inside my brain.

My father has given me these ideas and instructed me specifically on how to execute them.

So why do we feel like someone is imitating us

They’re not. If you create something and someone does it next, know you are the true mastermind behind it. You’re the vessel to the creation, the originator.

Someone had to see your creation first to fuel the fire. God gave you this idea to inspire the masses; that’s how powerful you are.

Take it as a compliment, not defeat

Don’t get me wrong, it may not feel good because you know how much time, effort, and even sacrifice you may have put into something for it to pop.

But you have to understand this as well: they’re inspired by you, and being completely honest, we’re living in a society where folks are struggling.

That one idea may have made them feel powerful again, helped them gain confidence again. So, don’t take it personally, take it as my work is saving someone. It’s motivating them to get back on their feet, it’s creating more art.

Don’t take it personally; take it as a sign that God is moving through you.

Make better art

Switch it up, dig deeper. Create with more intention, if it’s driving you too insane. However, honestly, let it go.

To truly enjoy your work and showcase your art, that’s the risk that comes with it. Make your art so unique and intricate, and add ingredients that folks don’t know about if you’re scared.

People cannot create from where they haven’t been

They can’t, so tune it out, or you will never reach your full potential. If you’re steadily worried about who is copying you, trying to be you, it means you’re scared.

You’re not confident in yourself and your talent because there is truly only one of you. No one can be you.

Confidence is the key to being an icon

Focus forward, our mantra for March. If we’re steadily worried about who is copying us, doing this or doing that, we’re wasting time.

If you want to be as good as you say you are, you will have to put your best foot forward and push. Create with good intention, create with depth and focus forward. Be an icon, but do it in a way that’s powerful and intentional.

No one is copying you; they’re inspired by you. Hold that title with grace and carry on. You could be saving a life.

With love,

C.Alilijah
