Write about your style this spring

The world needs more unique style.

Spring is the perfect season to experiment with your style.

It’s true, and I have a few journal prompts to help you get started on your latest style journey.

These prompts are curated and owned by Chandra Alilijah Fleming.

Let’s Get Into It

Be descriptive and expressive, describing your current style and how you want to improve it.

To be a fashionista, confidence is key, or you will fall flat, and it will show.

Jot down a sentence or two that highlights why you feel confident in your style wherever you go. Rather, it’s to the grocery store or a convention. Create your own style affirmation regarding you.

Read my latest blog post on style affirmations for guidance.

Write down your favorite accessories and why, that way you know to buy more of them or get rid of the ones you don’t include as favorites.

Also, consider the accessories you want to add to your daily rotation.

What’s a color you’re adding to your wardrobe? It can be pink, more pastels, or a shade of green.

Whatever you do, don’t add black. You probably own enough of that.

Where are we shopping this spring? What stores and brands are catching our eyes? Did you stay tuned to a few fashion runway shows that made you feel in tune with styles?

Make a list.

Think deeply and dig into the details of your closet. What’s in there that makes your style lack? Or what’s not in there? Do you desire more clothing that makes you feel comfortable, or a complete reset because you can’t truly develop a great sense of style with your current closet?

That’s something you need to answer.

Find some items to toss. They gotta go, if they’re ugly, toss! If they can’t be up-cycled into a new style, toss!

No, not literally toss, but be sustainable, and donate to a local organization seeking clothing or to your local charity shop.
