I made a chic candle for the love weekend!
Thanks to Blossom Bright Candle Company and the Meijer Rivertown Market, I was able to attend a free candle-making course and create an 8-oz soy candle with a variety of scents!

What is Blossom Bright Candle Company
It’s a candle company that specializes in handcrafted soy wax candles.
While also providing pop-up and private events where you can shop their brand. In addition to occasionally hosting candle-making classes to share their experience and expertise.
You can find their products at local markets across Michigan, including Rivertown Market.
The event
Rivertown Market posted on Instagram that they were hosting a candle-making event for Valentine’s Day weekend, and I didn’t have any plans! So I thought it was a cool idea to attend!
What did I make?
The first step was picking a scent. I went with Champagne Showers. I felt sassy today.
Then it was time for us to pour our scent into the wax and stir it for a bit.
The process was quite easy after we let the wax cool ( Well, I didn’t let mine cool) YIKES!
I then enjoyed a yummy charcuterie cup from CharKutie while I waited for my candle to set.
I realized smoked Gouda, raspberry, and pretzels ARE DELICIOUS as a paired treat!
The takeaway
I went home with a soy-based candle that I am excited to burn. I was also able to mix and mingle with a few attendees! My Valentine’s Day weekend started pretty great, considering the owners of Blossom Bright Co, Raven and Jonnaé, were very helpful in creating our final product!

What is Rivertown Meijer
I call it the tiny Meijer that sells a variety of Michigan-made products, hosts events, and caters to more of the “on the go” typa girl.
They often have a cafe that features food, drinks, and desserts.
The 313 Cafe in Rivertown features even a Dirty Pop drink selection. I’ve also attended vision board parties at this particular location.
