6 tips on how to enjoy Mondays in 2024

Sundays are good days of the week to plan for a successful Monday.

Mondays are hard.

Mondays are the first day of the week right after the weekend and are typically a drag. You wake up early to get ready for work or school. You start this rigid routine of the same thing, and it repeats.

How about this year, set the tone by starting Mondays off with a little more energy and focus.

Here are six tips on how to enjoy Mondays in 2024:

Create a doable routine

A doable routine to me is manageable and isn’t tiring fast.

You can create a doable routine in a few ways, first by finding a time to wake up that works for you and is comfortable. On Mondays, you don’t want to waste your time looking for outfits for work, so find the outfit the night before.

Figure out a time to leave the house that’s not a rush and gets you to work or school on time.

It’s about creating a schedule that works for you but doesn’t drain you on Monday mornings.

Buy yourself a treat

The power of treating yourself is one special occasion you can engage in.

It represents your ability to take of yourself, plus its also a way of spoiling yourself with the things you love and enjoy.

Buy yourself a coffee on Monday morning and get a delicious treat. Or buy something from your favorite restaurant on your lunch break.

Treating yourself on Monday is a great way to set the tone for the week for self-care, but it can also help dead the dread of Monday.

Plan the night before

If you read my lazy Sunday blog post, then please disregard this! (Just kidding)

Planning the night before is a great way to start Monday off in a positive mood. You should already have your Monday morning fit ready, lunch packed, and bag ready.

It’s good to get in the habit of planning Sunday evening for Monday because it can take some of the stress off.

Set good intentions

You have to stay positive, always. Setting good intentions means avoiding going to work or school on Monday with the attitude that today is horrible only because it’s a Monday.

That’s a pretty bad way to look at it, and it trains your mind that the day will suck just because it’s a Monday.

Try to go in or think of Monday as a good day. It’s the first day of the week, which means it’s a new opportunity to grow, try something new, and honestly start over if you have a mission or goal you want to achieve.

Eat a nice breakfast

Breakfast is a perfect way to get the nutrients and fuel you need to tackle on Monday.

Plus, who doesn’t love a good ole piece of bacon or waffle dipped in syrup. Sounds like music to my ears, I must say.

Cook or buy yourself a nice, delicious breakfast meal for a good start to Monday.

Say affirmations

As you set good intentions while eating your delicious breakfast meal, make sure you also say some affirmations regarding how you want to feel today and what you want the day to bring.

A few affirmations to say on Monday:

  • Mondays are not hard. They’re another chance at a new opportunity to start over, grow and improve.
  • Today is going to be a good day.
  • My Monday mornings are free of stress and dread.
