Enticing, come in pretty bottles, have sexy titles.
Do they truly impact coffee, though?
Let’s Get Into It
More ingredients
Another month and I am back with another espresso diary. It’s been five months of making coffee, and let me say this…
It’s fun, kinda expensive, but fun.
I fell into a rabbit hole AGAIN with creamers, but not with Chobani Creamers, “the other brand”.
What is too much sugar
I tried a cinnamon roll creamer, and it was okay.
Tried a cake pop creamer, and it was okay.
“Accidentally” added white chocolate syrup and honey, and oh baby…
Possibly, talked about this before, but if you’re using creamers, add no more ingredients THAT INCLUDE SUGAR!
Honey is for the bees
I think my favorite combo add-in right now is honey. She’s a fly girl who adds great taste.
And with honey, it doesn’t need many add-ins; one drop is pretty yummy.

Portion control
The less ice and milk, the better the coffee tastes. Now, that’s my opinion.
I’ve noticed that when I make anything over 14oz, the coffee is faint and just soaked up by the milk and ice. It’s giving flavored milk.
For the next couple of weeks, I’ll experiment with a variety of shots and see how to pair them better with different cup sizes.
What is too many espresso shots
As I experiment with the different cup sizes and espresso shots, I am curious to find my perfect ratio. While also being curious to find a good measurement for milk and ice.
I think as I make these coffee drinks, I need to start noting how much of each product I’m using.
My coffee shop love story
I went to a coffee shop, well, bar or coffee shop… whatever it’s called, and was kinda confused.
They had one of those fancy espresso machines, but the coffee was nasty. Was it too real for me? Am I not used to that fine-ground coffee taste by the pros?
Or was it really nasty?
Flavor profile was nonexistent.
I’ll go back, maybe I needed a different barista, but I can say it wasn’t worth $7.
Why are coffee shops now charging $7 for 12 oz… and was it really 12?
