Vintage Vibes is the antique shop of my dreams

Seeking a new antique shop to visit?

Thanks, Snowball, your grooming appointment led us to a hidden gem.

It’s Saturday morning and we’re taking the dog to get groomed. It’s this one antique shop that I kept eyeing every time I dropped my dog off at his appointment, but I was always too nervous to go inside.

Today, my mom and I made the decision. Let’s visit Vintage Vibes.

Here is all you need to know :

What is Vintage Vibes?

It’s antique, collectible and retro finds all in one. It’s a true resale store in my opinion. The classic kinds you shopped back in the day with true vintage items. Old Coke bottles, Marilyn Monroe posters, retro cameras and FILA windbreakers are just a few finds.

The shop is a hidden gem full of collectibles from all eras.

What do they offer?

The antique shop sold items like VHS tapes of Clueless, Pretty Woman and Disney classics, Little Golden Books, magnets from the 60s, Marvel comics and old decorations from your (now closed) local Pizza Hut. Literally.

Need a Diana Ross vinyl? Billy Ocean? That’s just a few of the vinyls and music selections the shop offers.

It’s so many unique finds, so plan your day accordingly because you’re going to need time!

Check the following gallery for a few available items.

My find of the day

Ironically, I was wearing my Clueless purse and stumbled upon the thrift find of my dreams.

CLUELESS ON VHS.

I mentally screamed and immediately showed my mom, who was shocked as well.

Did I mention, it was ONLY $6?!

Don’t get me wrong, most VHS tapes I find are priced around 99 cents, but to find Clueless for $6 was a steal for ME.

Where is it located?

Vintage Vibes sits in a plaza at 16320 Middlebelt Road in Livonia, Michigan.

The logo is a cute kitten with a red collar that you cannot miss!

Pricing

Overall, the pricing was pretty solid; most small items were priced between $1 and $10, including your magnets, trading cards, cassettes, postcards and buttons.

Larger items like vintage lamps and turntables range from $20 to $60.

As an avid thrift shop girl, I can say the prices were reasonable for an antique shop. I actually anticipated the prices to be a little bit higher, but they were just right in my opinion.

It’s best to bring cash, because to use a card you have to spend at least $20.

All sales are final as well.
