Heart-shaped charcuterie box

For the past few years, I’ve enjoyed creating charcuterie boards!
It only made sense to create a heart-shaped box for Valentine’s Day!
My heart-shaped tin is from Michael’s Craft Store, but they also sell actually boxes if you prefer cardboard, just make sure you are using parchment paper as a liner. I get my charcuterie finds from Kroger or any local grocery store.
A heart-shaped charcuterie box requires different cheeses, meats, and snacks.
I stick to the foods I typically enjoy on my charcuterie board. A mild cheese, a spicy pepper jack and one specialty cheese paired with salami, fruits, cashews and a few sweet treats like chocolate.
Typically I would pair this with Oliver Winery’s Sweet Red wine (it’s one of my favorites) or something light like a Rosé.

How to assemble a heart-shaped charcuterie box
1. Place crackers first to see how every other soft food will pair against them.
2. Cut your cheeses to your preferred shape.
3. Add the meats and keep them away from the crackers unless you plan to eat them immediately.
If you place wet items by the crackers they will become soggy.
4. Cut up strawberries or your favorite fruit.
5. Fill the space with peanuts, cashews and chocolate.
6. Add additional foods like olives, additional crackers or filler items.
