Valentine’s Day themed photoshoots are a great way to express creativity and highlight the love month!

The love season is the perfect opportunity to get cute and take photos!

I’ve done a few Valentine’s Day photoshoots to celebrate the holiday. Recently, I’ve attended content creator events hosted by local influencers in Detroit where we created content using different V-Day-inspired backdrops.

Here is all you need for Valentine’s Day-themed photoshoots:

Galentine’s Content Day hosted by Ariel Boston at Her Social Room.

Ariel Boston, a Michigan-based content creator hosted a content creator event at Her Social Room, a social gathering space in Warren Michigan allowing individuals to take photos with a variety of backdrops for the holiday.

Content days are great experiences for you to batch create and also connect with other local influencers!

How to take your own Valentine’s Day-themed photos

Step 1: Start with an idea, and find some inspiration on Instagram or Pinterest.

My first Valentine’s Day self-portrait photoshoot idea was about highlighting self-love and giving yourself your flowers.

I chose a simple white background and allowed my outfit and props to do the talking.

Step 2: Whether you’re using a cellphone or a camera, an important aspect is good lighting. If you don’t have a ring light or professional lighting, the best bet is to use natural lighting. This means it will be best to do your photoshoot during the day!

Step 3: Edits make a difference, play around with different hues, and styles to create your desired aesthetic!

Remember to have fun and do your best while tapping into your creativity.
