What is ReVamp Detroit
ReVamp Detroit is a local organization created by Amanda Sweet – The Creative Fairy Godmother and founder, Mariah Sierra who serves as the digital director, and Lebree Jones, the entertainment manager.
The organization’s sole purpose is to promote sustainability and bring communities together with events like the clothing swap according to their website.
How does the clothing swap work?
The ReVamp Clothing Swap starts with you bringing in a bag or two of clothing items, volunteers will sort through the clothing and then place them on their respective tables.
As you shop, you can mingle, meet other swappers and find your next best fit. Then at the end, you will bring your finds to checkout and pay per bag of items you find.
Price:
โข $20 to fill one bag
โข $5 for 5 items or less
Note: Any clothing left behind is donated to two metro Detroit charities- Destined for Greatness provides resources for young women of all ages and Neighborhood Art School – is an organization that connects artists, neighbors and art educators through creativity, learning and connection.
All proceeds from the event go to hosting the clothing swap.
