For my last day of blogmas, I am creating a DIY Barbie snow globe using Dollar Tree items!
This project cost me less than $10 , and you can find just about every product from Dollar Tree!
Here is a guide on how to make a Barbie snow globe:
Materials
- Plastic snow globes
- Glue gun
- Barbie figurine
- Tiny Christmas trees
- Glitter
- Water
- Vegetable glycerin
- Optional items : measuring cup, fake snow
Step 1 : Decorate the globe’s plate
Before you glue everything, make sure to stage how you want everything to look. Take the Barbie figurine and glue her to the bottom of your plate. Then glue everything else that will be on the plate.
Step 2: Add one teaspoon of glycerin to globe
I originally added two tablespoons to my globe but that may have been too much. Just add one teaspoon pf glycerin to the globe, upside down.
Step 3: Add water to the globe
Add water but stop once you reach the entrance of the globe’s plate.
Make sure that your globe doesn’t have too much water.
Step 4: Add your glitter or confetti
Okay babes, it’s time to get creative and add those festive glitter colors. I used blue and iridescent.
I also stirred my glitter in the mix so that it can create that pretty effect at the end.
Step 4: Glue the rim
Using the hot glue gun, start glueing the rim of the plate and add it immediately to the globe.
Step 5: Glue the cap onto the globe
Using your hot glue gun again, seal the deal with another layer of glue on the cap and smack it on the globe.
Step 6 : Shake test
Over a sink, flip that globe and see if water leaks out. Give it a shake and see the glitter flow!
Step 7: Ayee, now you have a snow globe!
You’re super cool and can now make just about anything. You go, superstar!
