I brought the grooves.
Don’t we all love a little pinky Halloween spook!
Let’s Get Into It
My small business participated in a harvest fest
The Northwest Detroit Farmers Market hosted a harvest fest this Thursday to get into the spooky season. Families were invited to enjoy a petting zoo, trick-or-treating, face painting, and shopping.
I decided to add a lil razzle dazzle and challenge myself to do a Halloween-themed vendor booth.
Our theme

Think pink grooves with a dash of Y2K. It was the cutest setup I’ve done in a long time.
I am very proud of the execution.
As my product line grows, so does the urge to change my setup. Next year would be completely different.
What did we create
I introduced mixed media mini notebooks and sold two, which felt great!
I also created a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie that I need to work on. I want it to be a little bit more salty.
Let’s just say, I make a very tasty Mini Strawberry Crunch Cake.
The bts
Watch my latest YouTube video as I document some of the process.
What did we enjoy
The entire event was great! I enjoyed my first harvest fest, passing out candy and creating an experience for attendees. It was a great time.
It’s been a great summer
It was my first summer vending with Northwest Detroit Farmers Market, and I enjoyed myself.
I met other small business owners, developed new ideas, and executed new styles. I truly enjoyed myself.
During my time, I brought my products to a new neighborhood and created space for myself.
Thank you for having me!
What’s next
