Chandra Alilijah describes a summer activity for junk journaling

Scrap paper and glue by C.Alilijah

It’s time to relax by the water.

It’s time to take your journaling to a new place.

Grab your journal, pens, maybe even the scrap paper, and head on over to the park.

A junk journaling exercise by the park is the key to ending summer on a high!

Let’s Get Into It

Pick the location

I typically go for state parks because I like to travel to them, and local parks near me can get pretty crowded.

When picking a park or a location, make sure it’s not too noisy.

To truly enjoy your experience at the park, it should be lowkey and chill.

Grab some snacks

Something light, a granola bar, maybe even a piece of fruit. I am trying to be healthier; don’t panic.

Grab a cold drink as well, something to keep you hydrated in the sun.

Wear something chic

I am a firm believer that a good outfit makes you feel better.

It’s something about being able to look down and actually enjoy your fit.

Be intentional

I truly believe that great intention leads to success.

Even while you’re just journaling, have a goal to finish a spread. To actually try something new in your spread.

If you’re curious about what a spread is, it’s just a completed page while junk journaling.

Bring minimum craft supplies

As I mentioned in my coffee shop junk journaling adventure, I truly believe that when journaling in public, it’s better to bring as little as possible.

One journal, a magazine, and a few bits of stickers is better than too many.

Plus, it actually makes you challenge yourself to get it done.
