Building quiet evenings for peace and growth by Chandra Alilijah

Quiet evenings that keep you in peace by C.Alilijah

Enjoying stillness to stay in alignment.

“Everybody Loves the Sunshine” by Roy Ayers Ubiquity.

A summer evening that’s calm, quiet, and a chance to decompress.

Work today was okay; we were quite busy, and I was ready to go home and relax. I did just that.

Let’s Get Into It

It starts with music you actually like

A playlist or a few skips through shuffle. I listened to some of my jams while riding my bike or sitting in my backyard enjoying the slow evenings of summer before the sun completely went down.

One last activity

I indulged in one of my hobbies today because I had the time and wanted to get a bit of exercise in. Riding my bike for at least 15 minutes or more is a great way for me to get active.

Indulge in your hobby

While bike riding is a hobby of mine, I actually love to journal. It can be cutting up bits of paper or actually writing down thoughts.

Take 30 minutes out of your day to pursue your hobbies and grow your skills.

I took a nap accidentally on the couch

You know you’re tired when you fall asleep on your living room couch.

It’s okay to nap.

End the night with good music

“My Life” by Mary J. Blige

That’s such a summer song to me.

It’s one of those “come down” songs.

Just sing the chorus; don’t take it too seriously. You may get sad; don’t.

Be at peace of mind.
