wearing the heel

Enjoy the coffee, wear the dress, the scarf is calling your name.

Why does life always feel like we’re seeking approval from others?

Why does life always feel like we’re guarding our tongue, our actions, because of society?

When in actuality, we’re all unique and should embrace our individuality, our uniqueness, especially in a world that’s truly black and white.

Let’s Get Into It

I am no longer playing it safe

I am wearing the dang dress, rocking my fro, and wearing the $10 pair of boots I sourced.

Well, my mom. But still, I am wearing the dang boots.

This is a season where I am doing what Chandra desires; no, I am not harming or taking away from someone else’s life, I am doing me. No second-guessing.

Too many people benefited from me being easy-going, too nice, and hiding my power

The answer is no, the answer is I am busy. Meaning some people need a break from me. They need to be away from me, not because they’re bad people, but because I overplayed my time.

I overstated my worth and overstayed my welcome.

It’s time to live without me.

That’s not to say we got beef, that I don’t like you, or that there’s a problem. It means you need a break from me, and I need a break from you.

If we’re meant to be in each other’s realm, I truly believe that God will bring us back to each other—platonic friendships, not intimate relationships.

Sadly, I truly desire no man from my past years. Take care.

Why play it safe when you should do your thing

Too many people keep it cute for the sake of what others will think.

You miss out on YOUR LIFE when you should show up. Show up in that bomb outfit that makes you feel chic, sexy, and fly!

You should dance around the house sometimes instead of going to a party. A living room world tour is always needed.

Just be you, it’s cheaper, a little harder, but it’s cheaper. Trust me.

It has more bang for your buck.

The first step

Understanding and accepting you.

Next adventure

Try the things you always wanted to. You deserve to be inspired and excited to do new things.

Wear the heel

Add some pep to your step, don’t fall victim to a sorry walk. Give your walk depth and energy.

Be confident

Don’t be afraid to be you; it holds value. Take your hair down, relax, and breathe. Accept the figure in the mirror and smile at it, smile at that figure and say, “I love you. I love you, and you deserve to be. You deserve to live nicely, you deserve to live in your reality of what brings you joy, and you deserve peace. Don’t hide it for anyone or anything. Or title, or job. You are amazing.

And someone, somewhere, deserves you, but first, you deserve to love yourself.

With love,
