I am having a fashion crisis

What am I going to wear? Will I have arm candy?

It’s TRUE!

Your fashion blogger is having a fashion crisis.

I know. I know.

I said this last week, but it’s week two, well, it’s been a few months actually.

Let’s Get Into It

The wedding is less than a month away

No! I STILL don’t have a dress.

I don’t have a date either, but I am in this very delusional era where I feel like a date may just randomly come to me and be like…

“I’ll be your date, I’ll totally be your arm candy for the wedding.”

Then we like…show up. I’ll even give him a nice lil dance break and conversation.

Who knows! We may plan our wedding next!

But I have no dress

So what would I even wear?

My theme right now is chic; of course, I am going for my current fashion vibe. Shh, I can’t tell you, but if you’ve been paying attention, you would know my style is truly in its grown and sexy era.

High fashion is steady, but fast fashion is losing

If this were a few years from now, I would wear a vintage dress from Balmain or Alaïa.

Archives. Archives, more archives.

If you’re a celebrity or a rich influencer, you have access to high-quality fashion and archival pieces.

We “regular folks” are going through the trope of synthetic fibers and bad stitching, with fast fashion taking over. Not only our Pinterest feed, but also at our local thrift shops.

Where do you even buy good-quality items on a budget?

One could say, “Oh, try Macy’s,” but mall shopping is truly dead (in my opinion).

Will I have to go to the mall to try to find a dress? Yes, but it’s not like I’m going to find anything that’s not a polyester blend or that fake satin.

I desire archival fashion

It’s true! I have to work harder, build my brand to get the fashion closet of my dreams, truly!

I want to look cute, have high-quality fabrics in my wardrobe, and not feel like good looks are hard to find.

Hopefully, my husband understands that as well! Your wife likes good quality fashion!

The dress is cheap

I saw a dress with potential, but when I used Google Image Search, I found the $35 dress on another site for over $150! Which lets me know not only is it a fast-fashion fave, it’s most likely a dupe of an original design.

That turned me off, but the dress is so cute!

It’s “sustainably made,” whatever that means!

Follow up for the mall trip

Alright, tomorrow we’re heading to the mall, and I’ll report back my findings.

Right now, we’re just going to search for inspo on Pinterest and not panic.

I have a concept I am going for and a potential color.

If I can find something similar tomorrow, I am going for it.

Stay tuned for my wedding guest dress saga.
