“the perfect classic spring outfit”

It’s time to start sporting those chic looks.

It’s true. The outfit you’re seeking is in your closet.

Spring is arriving, she’s knocking on our front door like, “Hey, girl, what we doing?”

What we’re wearing is the real tea. You ain’t gotta do too much this spring, wear what you already own.

And own it.

Let’s Get Into It

Printed tights

A good pair of tights is needed for spring, whether it’s opaque black or bold hues. You need a pair of tights that’s groovy.

I used to buy tights at Forever 21 or a department store, but I haven’t in a while. As my shopping habits evolve, I am trying to find more sustainable and high-quality clothing pieces, like tights, to invest in.

Knit vests

I love a knit vest, especially one that’s fitted. It’s chic, it’s needed, it can spice up an outfit.

It’s an old piece, I’ve been debating tossing, but it comes in handy most seasons if I am seeking an academia classic look. Also, a good vest to wear to pair with slacks for work!

The top handle bag

A top-handle bag is good when you’re seeking an outfit that’s going to be more fitted. I love this bag with this look because it gives “she’s ready for business”, and matches the gold buttons on my vest as well.

My mom bought me this bag for Christmas! Thank goodness, she knows my style.

The knee boot

A classic knee boot (suede) to kick off spring is powerful. If you’ve been paying attention to runway shows this season, suede boots are making a comeback. Go ahead and get ahead of the trend!

These were thrifted from the Salvation Army.

A skort

While I secretly hate skorts, this is one of my favorites because it pairs well with small tops and layers. You can get skorts at fashion stores like H&M and thrift stores.

Oh, and I can forget the classic chain belt, a nice touch to spice up the bottom, which can be a bore without a little bling!
