Diesel is always fun to me.
I truly enjoyed Glenn Martens’ Fall 2026 ready-to-wear for Diesel set design because it felt intentional. It was bold, colorful, interesting, and made you want to dig deeper into the story.
Let’s Get Into It
The “visual junk journal” set
It’s giving a visual junk journal, and I love it.
The set is full of Diesel garb, but it’s cool. It’s pop art on a runway, and I enjoyed it.
Their standpoint leans on the brand’s sustainability statement but also plays into the trend of scrapbooking and junk journaling being popular right now, in my opinion.
Keeping your “junk” has always been cool, and creating art from it is even cooler.
The first look was a bore
I think the white top and jeans blended in too much with the background, making it camouflage, but also most likely intentional.
That shot focuses on what the brand is known for: high-quality denim. Keeping it simple (a bore) but not losing the elements of what they’re known for.
Twisted reality
It’s a slippery slope when brands share the secrets of the trade. The use of resin to create the “permanent creases” is different.
You probably can’t wash it a lot, but it’s a thing. It reminds me of the “permanent wet shirt” a bit. Fashion recycling itself again.

Fun looks
The cream shades are going to be a dupe. Know it.
Ripped leather fabric look is always fun, going into the theme of “the party after look”.
The party was so wild you ripped your jacket, your skirt. It almost looks like duct tape, too, “taping” yourself back together.
The bags?
I am always an advocate for small handbags, and the dome bowling bag is always a win for me.
Innovative jeans lewk
Bring back creative fashion. Diesel did that just. The corset-style backing of jeans is unique, it’s sexy, and it makes you want to own a pair.
I would like to see these on women with a sexy pair of stilettos. It’s giving early 2000s club attire. A skintight shirt that kinda shows the waist a bit and flowy would look great with those jeans.
Are florals in?
Florals can be a hit or miss. I am not a fan of the “grandma style” fashion, but I can say this does play into the theme of throwbacks, how trends evolve.
Overall, the collection, in my opinion, shows how each generation incorporated a specific style during the “after-party” era. Millennials were into the skinny heel and jean style. While Gen Z isn’t afraid to wear floral intaria knits.
Trend Alert?
Knit rompers are making a bit of motion. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it.
Retire The…
The claw clip on the handbag is performative. Unique and definitely added a statement to the drabness of the bag, but it didn’t help that the satchels were an overall bore. Oversized bags may become a thing, but do we really need them?
