Because 2026 is the year you remember how talented you are!
Each year should be a year you create cool projects, get a little messy with paint and get active.
From scrapbooking, creating wall art, to sewing, there are so many crafts you can do. The best thing is you don’t have to do these crafts alone! You can call up friends, family and have DIY craft nights where you make mini items to spice up your living room or kitchen!
Who knows, you may become an interior designer by the end of the year with your crafts!
Let’s Get Into It
Clay art

Air-dry clay is the perfect tool for simple art!
I created a mini strawberry for incense and a random figurine just to test my skills!
You can create jewelry trays and magnets!
Painting flower pots
Painting is a good exercise and habit to indulge in when you want to have a relaxing, fun and productive day!
Since spring is only a few weeks away, why not start your own DIY flower pot collection!
Have the grooviest pots in the neighborhood!
Create a trinket box

Instead of a vision board this year, I made a “moody” trinket box, an item to carry notepads, affirmations and moody pictures to keep me inspired for the new year!
All you need is a wood trinket box, stickers, glue and a few other embellishments to make this cool item!

Custom teddy bears

This past weekend, I challenged myself to see if I could customize a teddy bear for under $10 at the thrift, and it went pretty well!
You find a quality bear for less than $3, and clothing for the bear to wear!

Make your own custom jewelry
Who doesn’t love some handmade earrings or necklaces?
The best part is you don’t have to buy new pieces. If you’re someone like me who has old jewelry sitting around, you can take those pieces and turn them into something new!
The possibilities are endless, see the vision and get started!
Local craft stores and even Five Below offer jewelry-making kits!
Teach yourself how to crochet

A few years ago, I started a “mini” crochet journey, but I haven’t found myself able to complete a project because crochet can be a tedious craft at times!
However, you and I can start our crochet journey with basic projects, such as headbands and hats!
Let’s master the chain stitch pattern together! (Lol)
It’s still a good DIY and hobby to get into to create your own custom clothing and accessories!
Becoming the “total you” requires execution
To become the “total you,” you need crafts and projects that make you figure out what you like to do and what you don’t!
