Oh no! Our summer is ending soon!
It’s time to go to the beach, have a picnic, visit that festival, or go to a concert! What are you going to do to end summer in a big, beautiful way?
Here are some last-minute summer activities:
Go to the beach

A summer beach day is KEY!
Grab some family, friends or go by yourself and have a beach day!
Put your foot in the water, bring snacks and just relax. It’s nothing like enjoying yourself by the water for an hour and soaking up the last sunny days.

Go to a concert
Concerts are the perfect summer activity!
From outdoor concerts to music festivals, there is nothing like catching your favorite artist during the summer!
For my Detroiters, Afro Future is heading to us this August for two days of Afro beats, am-piano, Kaytranada and Detroit’s very own Tee Grizzley!
Have a picnic

Picnics are a great way to decompress, eat yummy foods or do DIY projects!
I truly enjoy going to my local park, setting up my tent and blankets!
Have a night out with friends
It’s nothing like planning a good night out with your friends!
Rather, it’s a night out in the town catching a good meal or show, spending a summer night with the people you enjoy!
Go to a fashion show
Summer fashion shows? Count me in!
If you’re in Detroit, Indie Fashion has something for you!
On Sunday, August 24, at the Michigan Central Train Station, expect a day of good fashion, designers and shopping with local Detroit vendors.
Do a DIY project

My favorite summer DIY projects currently are junk journals and painting planters for my house.
Go outside, paint your planters, or spray paint something to give it a new look.
Find a craft that’s groovy and can be done while enjoying the warm weather!
Practice a sport
It’s nothing like getting active outside during the summer. It’s the perfect season to start a new outdoor sport!
You can practice pickleball, tennis, yoga or even shoot some hoops playing basketball!
Don’t let the summer go to waste without truly enjoying the outdoors!
