Asake? Kaytranada? And Davido?! Afro Future is bringing the vibes to Detroit!
In August, Detroit will host the AfroFuture cultural celebration with musical performances by global artists Asake, Kaytranada and Davido. Also, including Detroit’s very own Tee Grizzley.

What is AfroFuture?
Afro Future is two-day global musical festival featuring acts from all over the world representing culture, music, fashion, and entertainment.

Throughout the month of August, in partnership with local organizations, restaurants and businesses in Detroit – Afro Future is hosting events to help showcase Detroit culture, art food and lifestyle!
Taste Of Detroit Restaurant Week
Experience Detroit’s food scene with food demos, community dinners at a variety of Black-owned restaurants!
Afrocentric Movie Nights
Feature films that are Afrocentric , featuring free popcorn.
Diaspora Connect Pitch Competition
An opportunity for Black innovators to participate in a pitch competition with Black Tech Saturdays and Venture 313 to grow their community and business.
Poetry me, please
Spoken-word performance to incorporate the arts.
Samples N’ Friends
Celebrate Black music with talent and karaoke.

The Line Up

From Asake to Davido to Kaytranada to Tee Grizzley to Ludmilla – the line up brings a mix of Afro beats, amapiano, hip hop to Detroit deep cuts.
Plus local DJs like Donavon Glover.

Where is the festival taking place ?
AfroFuture is taking place at Bedrock’s Douglass Site which is a historical location representing Detroit’s Brooster Projects. The former home to many Motown artists like Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, and additional influential Black Detroiters.
