I challenged myself on a random Monday to photograph parts of Belle Isle.
It turned into a full-blown project involving me specifically preparing shots and edits to create a mini project, or shall I say, a new series, “Just Use Your Phone Chan.”

Oudolf Garden
While on my adventure, I ran into a public garden that I didn’t even know existed on Belle Isle!
Oudolf Garden is a space created by Dutch artist Piet Oudolf that was inspired by the energy of Detroit after they received a “love letter from Detroit” from The Garden Club of Michigan, according to their website.
Expect to find perennials, shrubs, grasses, trees with unique features, and bold colors.
