Chandra Alilijah discusses the creative challenge for August.

August is a creative month by C.Alilijah

Let’s get crafty.

We’re trying this again.

As summer winds down, it’s time to tap back into your creative bits. It’s time to build new habits that will captivate your fall.

Grab the pens, scissors, markers, and ribbon. Maybe even the statement pieces too because being creative isn’t limited to just arts and crafts; you can get bold with your fashion as well.

Let’s Get Into It

Why you need to create

Tapping into your creativity is the key to success.

It allows you to practice your hobbies and skills and build yourself through the arts.

Your creativity speaks to your inner child and allows you to build. It allows you to fall in love with what once made you happy and rediscover your inner being.

I hope that doesn’t scare you, but I am telling you! CREATE.

What to create

It doesn’t matter!

I could give you a list of things to create: sew your own tote bag, make a T-shirt, maybe a bracelet.

Or a new recipe that’s pretty yummy. It doesn’t matter.

Write down maybe seven a week and try those, or let the ideas come to you daily.

Don’t limit it to a DIY project; it could be an outfit choice, maybe a skincare routine.

Keep it groovy but also simple.

How to create effectively

Don’t overthink it.

Creating daily isn’t just about having a big project. It can be as small as uniquely styling your hair.

Add a hair clip or scarf as an accessory.

You can change the laces on your gym shoes.

The less you think about it, the better the outcome because it’s organic.

The challenge

For 31 days, I want you to create something daily.

Whether it’s a new skincare routine, a new recipe, or a DIY project, there is something for you to create.

Write it down or execute.

It starts with you just starting, whether the idea is thought out or not.

Take your time, don’t rush the ideas, and create.

I can’t define this challenge to a specific set of rules because this is for you. You’re the only one who can define your goal or mission you are trying to accomplish.

Chandra is just a blogger giving you the idea to create.

So, create.

I’ll be your guide tho

Weekly, I’ll share different projects I’ve created. Whether it’s crafts, fashion looks, or journal prompts.

I’ll be providing you with a variety of projects for inspiration if you find yourself stumbling on what to create.
