Why did I create the Detroit Hottie collection
To give Detroit women a groovy brand that’s not the typical grit.
We all know Detroit is “hardcore”, the“hustle mentality,” but what about the Detroit women who like pink? Who wanna wear something that reminds them of their childhood or how they grew up.
We’re all different here.
Let me show my difference
Growing up in Detroit as someone who isn’t “popular” or into the typical scene has sometimes felt like, “Where do I fit in here?”
I am not gritty, I am not hood, but I am not suburban.
Grew up on 7 Mile and live less than four minutes away from 8 Mile… but only went to DPS. DPSCD depends on who you’re asking.
My childhood was pretty calm, I mean, I lost my dad to the streets of Detroit at 9 years old.
But overall, my childhood was calm.

The Detroit Hottie collection was about creating something fun.
No, it is about creating something unique, with a Y2K touch.
Inspired by Mean Girls, to be exact.
She’s not the typical woman, though.
Sure, she’s from 7 Mile, but that’s just a street name.
She’s creative, hot, kinda quirky, even a bit sexy, but she’s a go-getter.
Her environment? Doesn’t crumble her; she knows where she’s from. She cherishes it, but she goes beyond it.

The Detroit Hottie collection isn’t ending. I’ll forever cherish my first collection from 6:23 Detroit Shop.
It’s pivoting. My brand originated in Detroit, right in a little ole home off 7 Mile, but our destiny is beyond Detroit.
It’s time for my brand to reach its next heights while still honoring its foundation.
