Never limit your ability to be someone with great audacity

This isn’t your typical post.

It started with chapter 4.

I am reading this book and I skipped chapter 4, because it talked about what to wear for your body type.

In the same sense, it said that as you fix one thing, you’re worried about the next.

Why are we limiting ourselves at all?

Let’s Get Into It

Allowing God to place us in position

I believe in God, and I am not afraid to talk about it. In this world, I truly believe you need a relationship with God before you desire a relationship with anyone else; He can keep you in reality and guide you back. Allow God to keep you in a position of understanding, clarity, and peace. Don’t allow the troubles of the world to disrupt and dismantle the missions that God has created for you.

God’s position for us is always rooted in love and lessons to grow us into strong, fearless individuals with the audacity to show up as ourselves in the most God-led way, even when the odds are stacked against us. He teaches us to learn, earn, and progress in every situation we endeavor with grace.

Know who you are and what you’re not

To know you is a safety net. Let me say that again, the ability to know you is a safety net.

What does that mean?

It means that you know what you like, what you don’t like, who you like, where you like to go, and what you can handle and what you can’t.

When you’re living with great audacity and purpose, you have to be mindful of where you go, what you put your energy into, and who the receivers of your light are. Not every room, opportunity, or individual deserves access to you.

You understand the basics of your foundation

You value the basics of your foundation.

To value the basics of your foundation, you have to understand them.

Embrace your background authentically. Not just the negativity.

A lot of times, it’s easier to pick up the negative, the “I don’t agree with that, or I don’t want to be like that,” but you have to separate the basics of the foundation from the points that can overshadow or you will never find a balance and can come off as a bitter person.

Don’t get me wrong, some aspects of our foundation can be hard to accept, but understanding the why and looking at it from multiple perspectives can create peace from it. It’s up to the person themselves to find the peace and understanding.

Do you know who can help you with that?

God.

God can give you understanding and perspective that helps you find peace within your foundation and roots. He can be that person and allow you to move on with grace because I truly believe in having great audacity, you gotta know what it’s stemming from and how to execute it with depth.

Knowing your foundation and roots allows you to be the person in your lineage with great intentional audacity that brings peace, clarity, and resolution, not confusion.

Having great audacity is powerful

It allows me to be Chandra without offending anyone or stepping on someone’s toes for my own personal gain.

I love wearing my natural curls because it’s brave. I should never be ashamed of a feature that God gave me.

I should embrace and feel good because my curls are a crown of honor. They’re powerful, they’re intentional, and they symbolize who I am and my culture.

When I wear my personal style, it’s a symbol of my mood, my personality, and the characteristics that fulfill me as an individual. My personal style is rooted in old movies and shows I watched as a kid, or how my parents and family expressed their fashion in their time.

Use your power for good always

In my opinion, our power is infused by God’s commands and his push for us to want to succeed and get the job done. Rather, he wants us to be good intentional role models or individuals who break generational curses in our families. The Lord has an assignment for everyone.

Well, how do I know the assignment?

It starts with building a relationship with the Lord. I would be lying if I said I’ve always had a relationship with him. It has truly begun when I learned to start conversations with him in prayer, in silence. I allowed myself to carve out time for God, and he began carving out time in his life to speak with me.

The journey is a work in progress. I haven’t read the entire Bible, I don’t know all the scriptures offhand, but I am starting. I am starting with books my family read or ones I see often to acquaint myself with the word.

I am using my power to enlighten myself with the word of God, so when I become a mom or a wife, I’ll be able to enrich my family with the power of the Lord. While, also being a vessel to let others know that it’s okay to develop a personal relationship with God and to speak about your testimony when you’re ready. Rather, folks want to hear it or not, but I truly believe that in this society, at this moment, you need a relationship with the Lord.

While this is a fashion and lifestyle blog, I am not afraid to discuss my desire to grow closer to God within because I know someone, somewhere, needs to hear it.

When we listen to ourselves more, we get louder

The word of God is speaking through us, and you want to walk with God, because he’s the one who’s going to save you.

We try to save ourselves and create goals and missions to complete, but sometimes it’s just not enough.

You need God’s word and his power to push you to exhibit good audacity.

I never saw myself talking about God on my blog because I didn’t know how, but I feel good. I feel like I am stepping into authority and letting it be known, God is who I serve, and it’s okay to bring him up out loud because he deserves to be spoken about just like we do everything else.

Let’s Talk About It

Are you truly having good audacity with God as your supreme authority?
