We\u2019re in that season again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to explore new places, stroll a bit, talk to randoms, and kill time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Playground Canvas\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s what I am calling it, a collection of photos, no videos, just words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was trying to sit by the water, enjoy the sunshine and warm weather, but I found myself going around in circles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Needed a cold drink <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

No, I didn\u2019t eat breakfast, and I was close to grabbing McDonald\u2019s for lunch. I settled for a Slurpee. Great diet?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I actually missed my turn to go back home, but realized I was actually near something I had seen before. It was Downtown Wyandotte, I was off where the park was located, but decided to stroll for a bit. Why not?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7 Eleven looked so pretty where it was set. No photos though! Experience it yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first stop <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sit down and observe, a great way to get familiar with a space. Tattooed folks walked their pets, and dogs pooped in the open grass space. Modern, historic small businesses lined the street, and big chains like Dollar General sat on corners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The neighborhood was quiet, pretty peaceful, and folks greeted me with a smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Went left, a lot of construction. Many sidewalks are not walkable at intersections, but we pivot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restaurants, coffee shops with outdoor seating, big flower pots, a quiet downtown area, but it\u2019s Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Took a seat, and a million ants came out of nowhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many bars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crossed the street, found the water, and houses off the water. Decided to go downriver and explore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bit of a history lesson <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The area smelled nostalgic. It reminded me of what they put in history books about booming cities once before. Plus, so many of the businesses were mom-and-pop shops that had been in the neighborhood for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeing the plaque about the dime stores made sense. Too bad, we don\u2019t have any of those types of stores today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The closet concept is Dollar Tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fishermen, couples, moms with their babies, and older couples sat, talked, and laughed along the riverfront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s the Detroit River. Another view of it. A calmer view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curious to know what lies beyond it, what\u2019s on the other side? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my city, Canada is on the other side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I need a map. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Couple initials engraved on the wood railing, very early 2000ish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many park benches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading \u201cIn loving memory of such and such\u201d or \u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful day to be alive\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sweet memories, quiet moments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
