C.Alilijah"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I found a solution to my shopping habit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just a few days ago, I stressed about <a href=\"https:\/\/chandraalilijah.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/20\/the-closet-break-up-by-c-alilijah\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/chandraalilijah.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/20\/the-closet-break-up-by-c-alilijah\/\">falling out of love <\/a>with my lovely clothing from 2020, but I found a solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks, Madonna!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, I hope she found her items. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, thank you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I learned a new term <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Not really. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See, I knew about this term already in terms of vintage high fashion like Chanel, Dior, and Versace, but I liked the way the term was used in a recent post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sorry to Madonna, I truly hope she found her \u201cpersonal archival\u201d pieces after her surprise guest performance at Coachella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, hearing the term used in that capacity changed my mindset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why am I not referring to my clothing as a personal archive <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like, uh, hello!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re already building a future museum of vinyls, CDs, and VHS tapes; why not do the same for my clothing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rank the clothing under \u201cpersonal archive,\u201d and if it doesn\u2019t fit, get rid of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-pale-pink-color has-text-color\">Recommended Posts<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__list wp-block-latest-posts\"><li><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/chandraalilijah.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/23\/ride-the-dang-bike\/\">ride the dang bike<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/chandraalilijah.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/22\/okay-maybe-lets-try-this-again\/\">okay, maybe let\u2019s try this again<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/chandraalilijah.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/21\/its-personal-archives\/\">\u201cIt\u2019s personal archives\u201d by. However, the book\u2026 well, chapter one had me a bit concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It wasn\u2019t the book. It was me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I no longer like some of the clothing in my wardrobe. You can read that essay here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it made me sad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, now I have a solution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If it doesn\u2019t rank as a personal archive, it has to go <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A sexier word choice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s all I needed! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If I don\u2019t envision the item in my closet a few years from now, it has no space. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that goes for anything in my life! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If an opportunity or event doesn\u2019t make sense to belong in my \u201cpersonal archive,\u201d I am not participating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s always deeper than just clothing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What counts as a personal archive <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Is it sustainable enough to last? That\u2019s step one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What impact has it had on my life? Is it memorable, honorable? Does it represent a good time in my life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Would I want baby Chan to have it? Lol <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s just a few sentiments to consider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s true, I\u2019ve found a new word to obsess over! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Let\u2019s Talk About It<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you starting a \u201cpersonal archive?\u201d <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new term?
