When you have an idea, you truly have to execute it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Let&#8217;s Get Into It<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Am I too talented<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Is my resume being at two pages a little overboard for a regular ole girl from the city? Does my degree scare you a bit because it may mean I really know what I am doing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Am I too social online?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What is the deal?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I mean, maybe I should&#8217;ve gone for one of those big-time degrees with the fancy titles, long work hours, and uniform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sadly, I chose the arts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nooo, <em>gladly I chose the arts<\/em>, and I think that&#8217;s my superpower. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s not easy; I would be lying if I said becoming that therapist or teacher didn&#8217;t sound too bad after all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, I like my arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kinda risky, kinda weird, kinda a constant battle between, &#8220;Should I just go back to journalism or should I just show up as a businesswoman?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Am I running my business effectively<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you ask the &#8220;experts&#8221;, probably not. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you ask my &#8220;business partner&#8221;, &#8220;Yeah, we&#8217;re moving like turtles, but the turtle can win the race?&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That quote goes a little like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, it looks like I have no choice but to start running <a href=\"https:\/\/623detroitshop.com\/?srsltid=AfmBOorAIgDcestl5uWPfp0Tyvr5AumdW1x-ShkSl6h2RapJoZKKJs3n\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/623detroitshop.com\/?srsltid=AfmBOorAIgDcestl5uWPfp0Tyvr5AumdW1x-ShkSl6h2RapJoZKKJs3n\">my business<\/a> effectively because God knows Chandra loves a good shopping trip, and the craft store is calling my name. I can hear the parking lot of my local Michaels calling me, &#8220;Come on, Chan, we&#8217;re craving you. I know you need a new pack of glue sticks. If you read my<a href=\"https:\/\/chandraalilijah.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/02\/owning-623-detroit-shop-at-25-years-old\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/chandraalilijah.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/02\/owning-623-detroit-shop-at-25-years-old\/\"> business update at 25<\/a>, you would know that I took a few business courses and lost hundreds of dollars due to my own crappy business decisions. However, it taught me about risk; it broadened my mind to know what&#8217;s right and what&#8217;s not. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The journey isn&#8217;t perfect, and I don&#8217;t have millions of dollars in capital or folks giving me loans and grants, but I have faith, and I have bomb ideas brewing that deserve to be seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I want to see my business bloom, and that&#8217;s what keeps it fun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">So, thanks for not hiring me<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I could be in my own apartment, wearing my fancy $100 sets or sporting my new designer bag and going out every weekend but I thank God for this season as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s almost like God has literally said, &#8220;Uh huh, I am not giving you an allowance until you put some work in and not just any ole work. I want to see you invest in your own companies, your own brand, business, yourself, until you know how to handle yourself.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because we all know I love a good shopping trip, a nice moment on a Friday night, enjoying the town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, why not spend that time, energy, and money on 6:23 or my blog? I can&#8217;t keep neglecting them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This season is preparation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As they say, &#8220;All icons have interesting stories&#8221; or something along those lines. I am in that chapter, the part of the story that&#8217;s humbling, groovy, experimental, but personal as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And I am okay with that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am not mad in this season because I know it&#8217;s not permanent; it&#8217;s a very special and meaningful part of my coming-of-age story that I will value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>It&#8217;s humbling but not defining.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Things happen for you, not to you<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To the individual who made it this far. You kept going, and that&#8217;s the beauty of it. You never stopped, you never got too tired, too comfortable, to the point where you gave up.
