Before I was a content creator on Instagram. YouTube was my thing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re going back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who are we? Chandra, I am going back, but this time I am going to make it stick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s Get Into It<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not returning as just a \u201c typical creator \u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s the first lie, partially. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am returning to YouTube for a few reasons. One to document the memories of the rest of my 20s. Two to create for an audience that may value longer-form content better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instagram has pissed me off, and TikTok is too flea market-ish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am tired of feeling like I am begging on those apps for traction and people to care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t get me wrong, YouTube can be deemed as that same algorithm, but I\u2019ve seen what YouTube can do with consistency, and it\u2019s time to go back to our roots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t give up <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To some, it can be seen as, \u201cOh, she left the gram, she\u2019s no longer creating.\u201d That\u2019s not true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am just editing the way I am creating and posting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am no longer just creating to go viral; I am creating for longevity and to promote my brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the past couple of months, I realized I was making content for other people\u2019s brands rather than my own. That didn\u2019t feel good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While it was such a blessing to create and have those opportunities, what about my own brand? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why am I not putting the same effort in? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The end goal is changing <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While content creation is growing and many are still hopping on the trend, you truly have to have an end goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am moving the goal post. It\u2019s no longer necessary to have millions of followers or even subscribers. I want people to learn something from me and not just doomscroll my 30-second videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus, my brands need me! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, will they watch my 20-minute videos instead?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s about providing purpose <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I began YouTube when I was around 13. I was making DIYs, reaction videos, and that\u2019s what killed the channel. Who cares how I feel about a video of someone else? Just like who truly cares how good that dang pasta is, if they can’t get a box of it themselves?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DIY videos were cool, though, and I should\u2019ve kept going. They were not only entertaining but informational, providing folks with guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t get me wrong, my personal style guides on Instagram were helpful too, in my opinion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to go beyond that, though, and provide folks with more insightful content and actually prompt them to get outside, offline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re essentially moving offline <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I am confused! You said you were going to YouTube, I AM! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the goal of YouTube is beyond just making videos, and if you follow us along on the journey, you will see><\/p>\n\n\n\n
