This week, I explore a bit of the fashion book I read. It was a pretty interesting read for the most part!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Fashion For Dummies<\/a>?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A basic fashion guidebook that explains how fashion works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From learning what a designer does to a buyer or how color theory plays into style, the book serves as a tool in the fashion process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a book by TV personality Jill Martin and writer Pierre A. Lehu, published in 2013. Almost 13 years ago!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initial thought <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I picked up this book to help develop better style and fashion tips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some chapters were a bit European-based, if you\u2019re catching my drift, while others were more generalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, it\u2019s one of those take what you need and don\u2019t take anything personally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their personal style tips <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the biggest takeaways was to search your closet and wear what you already own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rate it, style it, and create something new from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional tips include creating a classic wardrobe of high-quality pieces with blazers, pumps, slacks, and trench coats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In today\u2019s society, that would be considered a capsule wardrobe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
