Happy holidays! Kicking off the season with a festive-themed photoshoot is a great way to have fun, get creative and showcase art. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ironically, my theme was already picked for me this year and it was peppermint candy canes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I received a partnership with Hudsonville Ice Cream<\/a> for a taste of their new limited edition Peppermint Stick flavor! It was super delicious and a great prop to include in my holiday-themed self-portraits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After choosing a theme, find an outfit that will make this portrait feel more groovy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wore a classic pair of pajamas featuring teddy bears and candy canes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the fun part. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using silver tinsel, foliage and Christmas trees, I began to set up my scene. I used a $1.25 tablecloth from Dollar Tree and some extra decoration I had lying around from last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Save your supplies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally, this shoot was for the ice cream bit, but I made sure to incorporate it all into my self-portraits to create a fun and engaging experience!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
