This intimate and locally rooted event features expert-led conversations, guided networking, and more – all in a cozy, conversational setting designed for real connection, ” according to The Marshalls Good Stuff Social Club. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s a traveling social club that pops up in different cities, allowing women to experience a day of fashion, networking, creating, and gathering to enrich their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Basblue, a nonprofit network space for women and non-binary individuals, hosted the event with Detroit’s very own Amber Lewis <\/a>as the emcee. <\/p>\n\n\n\nBuilt to bounce back: How to recover from financial setbacks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The first session, led by Vivian Tu, CEO and financial mastermind behind the “Your Rich BFF brand,” discussed tips on how to advance your finances and how to improve them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was nervous about this session because I get a shy when meeting new people\u2026 yes, I know I am a former journalist, but\u2026 bear with me! However, this session was quite fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The prompts helped start the conversation that led to many more. I felt more comfortable and confident sharing my thoughts and experiences and I believe the connections I made did as well!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The session was led by BasBlue’s Director of Member Experience, Liza Gordon, with individuals rotating seats throughout guided rounds of prompts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It made sense, not just because fall is my favorite season, but because I felt powerful in the hues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And we all know I love a good gold jewelry statement piece moment!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thank you to local color experts Brooklyn Rivard and Emma Belden for providing us with tips and guidance on finding the perfect hues! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nIn our final session, local creators Lauren Hom and Rachel Renae helped us get crafty by embracing the journey of just using construction paper, scissors and glue!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For an icebreaker, they asked us what type of pi\u00f1ata we would be and what would be filled inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I, being the baker I am, said I would be a cupcake filled with Starbursts!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exercise continued with us reflecting on titles to describe us, are we moms, bakers, farmers? How do we describe ourselves, what does our dream life look like?.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This session was a great debrief, a moment to unwind, get creative, and create our own identity!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I truly enjoyed the event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
This wasn\u2019t just an event for content creators, fashion girlies and gurus. It was a true opportunity to connect with unique women in multiple fields. From IT professionals to hairstylists, illustrators, and fashion designers, the room was full of women from every area of life. Making it a true empowering space to learn, grow and connect!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Did I mention they gave us a free Stanley?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This intimate and locally rooted event features expert-led conversations, guided networking, and more – all in a cozy, conversational setting designed for real connection, ” according to The Marshalls Good Stuff Social Club. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s a traveling social club that pops up in different cities, allowing women to experience a day of fashion, networking, creating, and gathering to enrich their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Basblue, a nonprofit network space for women and non-binary individuals, hosted the event with Detroit’s very own Amber Lewis <\/a>as the emcee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The first session, led by Vivian Tu, CEO and financial mastermind behind the “Your Rich BFF brand,” discussed tips on how to advance your finances and how to improve them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Empowered and simply ready to keep going! This session tugged at my why and how I should deepen my meaning behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In this session led by Meagan Ward, founder and CEO of Femology<\/a>, she discussed the importance of branding your creativity and monetizing it with popular Michigan hairstylist Destinee Rose, furniture designer Bo Shepherd, and multidisciplinary artist and illustrator Rachelle Baker. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I was nervous about this session because I get a shy when meeting new people\u2026 yes, I know I am a former journalist, but\u2026 bear with me! However, this session was quite fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The prompts helped start the conversation that led to many more. I felt more comfortable and confident sharing my thoughts and experiences and I believe the connections I made did as well!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The session was led by BasBlue’s Director of Member Experience, Liza Gordon, with individuals rotating seats throughout guided rounds of prompts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Colors that say *me*”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n An Autumn palette of olive green, burgundy with soft reds and pinks, plus of course – gold jewelry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It made sense, not just because fall is my favorite season, but because I felt powerful in the hues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n And we all know I love a good gold jewelry statement piece moment!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thank you to local color experts Brooklyn Rivard and Emma Belden for providing us with tips and guidance on finding the perfect hues! <\/p>\n\n\n\n In our final session, local creators Lauren Hom and Rachel Renae helped us get crafty by embracing the journey of just using construction paper, scissors and glue!<\/p>\n\n\n\n For an icebreaker, they asked us what type of pi\u00f1ata we would be and what would be filled inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I, being the baker I am, said I would be a cupcake filled with Starbursts!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The exercise continued with us reflecting on titles to describe us, are we moms, bakers, farmers? How do we describe ourselves, what does our dream life look like?.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This session was a great debrief, a moment to unwind, get creative, and create our own identity!<\/p>\n\n\n\n This wasn\u2019t just an event for content creators, fashion girlies and gurus. It was a true opportunity to connect with unique women in multiple fields. From IT professionals to hairstylists, illustrators, and fashion designers, the room was full of women from every area of life.
