Using the acrylic paint from Walmart did require me to coat the box at least twice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Make sure to let the paint dry before the next step. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Add the spackle (Optional)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Since we\u2019re making an iced heart box that resembles a cake, we\u2019re going to be adding spackle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Spackle is normally used to seal cracks in walls, and holes but today it\u2019s going to ice our cake \u2026 well heart box. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Note: <\/strong>This step is optional if you&#8217;re not making an iced heart box, you can skip this part and move on to the next one!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Steps on using the spackle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">You can add acrylic paint to the spackle, to give it another shade than white. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Add the piping tip to the piping bag, then add the spackle using a disposable spoon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Carefully pip the heart box as you like <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Tip: Using a large piping tip was not easy and ruined one of my boxes. C.Alilijah<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/chandraalilijah.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/07\/i-have-no-desire-to-play-it-safe-ever-again\/\">wearing the heel<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Add embellishments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">I got my heart stickers, and glitter decorations from Michaels, Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Make sure to get creative with this part as well! I used Valentine&#8217;s Day-themed vase fillers from Dollar Tree as candies and glitter as sprinkles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Add the embellishments before the spackle dries if you&#8217;re using spackle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Note: Skip steps five and six if you&#8217;re not using spackle!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5: Let the spackle dry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The spackle should sit for at least 24 hours or more until it\u2019s finally hardened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 6: Add other embellishments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/chandraalilijah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img_1549-1.jpg?resize=640%2C853&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3661\" style=\"width:448px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/chandraalilijah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img_1549-1.jpg?resize=768%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/chandraalilijah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img_1549-1.jpg?resize=225%2C300&amp;ssl=1 225w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/chandraalilijah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img_1549-1.jpg?resize=1152%2C1536&amp;ssl=1 1152w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/chandraalilijah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img_1549-1.jpg?resize=1024%2C1365&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/chandraalilijah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img_1549-1.jpg?resize=1320%2C1760&amp;ssl=1 1320w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/chandraalilijah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img_1549-1.jpg?w=1500&amp;ssl=1 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">After the spackle has dried, you can add other embellishments using a hot glue gun to finish off your heart box. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">I added a heart sticker to the center of my box for more decoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 7: Add candy or jewelry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The final step is adding candy,  jewelry or whatever you like to the heart box.
