It\u2019s one of the best types of shopping because it\u2019s never the same every time you go. Develop a personal style? Or are you there just for fun? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">It can be all three, but it\u2019s best to have a clear reason to be there. You need to know what to thrift and what not. Be mindful to not buy everything at the thrift because it may contain holes or it&#8217;s too worn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Items you can thrift:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Clothing items <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Handbags (Make sure it&#8217;s intact)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Accessories <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Items I don&#8217;t thrift<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Shoes (unless they&#8217;re a perfect find)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Underwear (bras, underwear)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Games <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Clothing with holes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Dirty items<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Bakeware<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Kitchen utensils <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pick a good day and time to go<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">You can expect to find the best when items are freshly put out during the weekdays. During the weekend a lot of the good items are gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">I typically thrift shop from Tuesday through Friday to find good items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Make sure you also go early in the day as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Remain open-minded <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Thrifting takes time and it&#8217;s not something that needs to be done quickly. It can take a few hours to search through a thrift store and find good items. It may even require you to go over the same aisle twice to make sure you searched well enough. I found a lot of my best finds on the second or third look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">If you&#8217;re not interested in wearing second-hand clothing, you may as well not even attempt to thrift because it&#8217;s not for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Set a budget<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Recently, when I thrift, I set a budget of around $20-30.
